Osteopathic treatment of the temporomandibular joint and orofascial disorders

3-day course with Torsten Liem


Friday 29th November till Sunday 1st December 2013, 9AM – 5PM


Sunday till 3:30PM.


The course covers functional anatomy, biomechanics and diagnostics of the  temporomandibular joint and related disorders. Explanation of the function of the mouth (including tongue, teeth and lymphatic tissue), the organization of the myofascial structures of the throat and neck and dyscinesi.

Postural examination in relation to temporomandibular joint disorders and relationships from these structures to the cranial and musculosceletal systems will be described.

Participants will during the practicals be shown and supervised in specific treatment techniques and considerations for the temporomandibular joint, the mouth, myofascial arrangement of the throat and neck, including related structures like nerves, arteries, lymph, discus, muscles, ligaments and the bone itself.

The course is taught in English.

Max. 20 participants - on a ”first come” basis.

Manual therapists with experience and knowledge of cranial therapy, e.g. osteopaths, physiotherapists and cranio-sacral therapists.
