The objectives of this workshop are for each participant to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Be able to describe the basic principle and clinical reasoning behind neurological, visceral and fascial manipulation for patients with sequelae of concussion.<\/li>\n
  • Identify how specific manual therapy can improve treatment outcomes for concussion-related injuries and symptoms (such as headaches, neck dysfunction, memory loss, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and sleep disturbances).<\/li>\n
  • Palpate and identify deeper fascial restrictions in the body's joint, diaphragmatic, visceral, neural, and vascular systems as they relate to clinical tests and treatments.<\/li>\n
  • Understand the connections between organs, emotions, trauma, and pain in relation to concussion rehabilitation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • How a concussion affects the entire body<\/li>\n

    • The importance of the diaphragm for the connection between body and head<\/li>\n
    • Specific visceral techniques for concussion rehabilitation<\/li>\n
    • Sleep\/mindfulness\/emotions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Prerequisite:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

      Visceral Manipulation: Abdomen 1 (VM1) AND Listening Techniques 1; An Integrative Approach to Evaluation (LT1).
      \nAlthough not required, Neuromeningeal Manipulation; An Integrative Approach to Trauma (NM1) is recommended.
      \nExperience with CranioSacral Therapy is also recommended.<\/p>\n
